Brake repair for Milton, 20 minutes west on the 401

4.7 · 425 Google reviews

Quality Lube & Tires is twenty minutes west of Milton on the 401, off at Brock Rd. Squeal, grind, a soft pedal or a shudder through the wheel — each one points somewhere different, so we pull the wheels and measure instead of guessing. You see the pads and the rotor readings, then the price. Highway miles wear brakes evenly, which often means the rotors survive a pad change; we'll tell you when yours have.

The honest version of the most common brake question. We measure and show you the parts before either answer.

What drivers say
The staff were very informative (he called me after I requested a quote online to go over my options), understood what I needed, and weren't pushy at all. Prices were very reasonable.

Milton questions, answered
My brakes shudder at highway speed. What is that?

Usually rotors that have gone out of true, and it shows up worst on a long 401 run. We measure runout and thickness with the wheels off before quoting anything.

How far is the shop from Milton?

About 20 minutes on the 401 west, off at Brock Rd. It's highway the whole way, so it's a steadier run than the clock suggests.

Can you get me in this week?

Usually. Call and the receptionist finds a slot — worth doing before you make the drive from Milton.

How long do brake pads last?

Typically 40,000–80,000 km depending on how and where you drive. We measure them with every oil change.

Do I need rotors with pads?

Not always. If yours can be safely reused, we say so. We replace what's worn, not what's convenient.
